Annapurna  Trek  with Tilicho Tal is the most visited trekking trail in Nepal. The trek is one of contrasts between the green, terraced farmland on the start point to the semi-arid environment of the destination point.  Annapurna region Trekking starts from Nayapul which is about 1 and half hour drive from Pokhara Valley. Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

We will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival and transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay. Our representative would be at airport to receive you please look for the placed card having your name.

Day 2Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Today after breakfast we start our tour to several of the most antique and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu listed as the UNESCO World Heritage (Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Durbar Square landmarks). Most importantly we will complete all the necessary paper works and make other preparations required for Annapurna Trek with Tilicho Lake.

Day 3Drive to Chamje (1,410m): 6-7 hours

We start our day with a road trip from Kathmandu to Chamje village. Chamje is a small village in the Annapurna Region where we can observe waterfall which is an attraction for both locals and trekkers. The beautiful vegetation all around will boast us for the trek ahead. Overnight in Chamje.

Day 4 Trek from Chamje to Dharapani (1,960m): 5 - 6 hours

We begin the trek early in the morning. The follow trail through various vegetable plantations, waterfalls and suspension bridges. After crossing the suspension bridge below Chamje and climbing two steep sections, we reach Manang district leaving behind Tal village. We walk along the village; ascend and descend the mountain trails and reach Dharapani. Overnight in Dharapani.

Day 5Dharapani to Chame (2,710m): 5 - 6 hours

Today we encounter a few steep, forested hills along with several landslides on route to Chame. We come close to the excellent views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV. The trail continues to small hot springs where we relax for a while and move to Chame. Overnight in Chame.

Day 6Chame to Pisang (3,300m): 5 - 6 hours

Today we follow the trail that ascends and descends and passing several rivers and settlement areas. We walk through a steep and narrow valley to seek amazing view of Paungda Danda (a dramatic curved rock). From here, we also gain excellent views of Annapurna 2 at south and Pisang Peak at north east. Overnight in Pisang

Day 7Pisang to Manang (3,500m): 6 - 7 hours

From Pisang there are two routes to Manang. We choose the one which passes through Upper Pisang via Geru as it is an excellent view point of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and others. As we step inches closer Manang, the climate becomes colder and drier; we visit to Barge Monastery, the biggest monastery in the Manang District. Overnight in Manang.

Day 8Rest day /acclimatization

Today we take rest as to get familiar with high altitude and its surrounding.

Day 9Manang to Khangsar (3745m): 2-3 hours

After breakfast our trek continues up to the village of Khangsar. As we march ahead, the trail cuts down through a gorge and the Tilicho Peak can be traced. The beautiful Annapurna Range all around will boast us for the trek ahead. We also pass through small scenic settlements and the Tore monastery to reach Khangsar River. Overnight in Khangsar.

Day 10 Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp (4140m): 5-6 hours

As we begin the trek from Kangsar and come across wide pastures and reach Tilicho Lake Base Camp. We will be greeted with remarkable views of entire valley. After traversing down a steep angle, we enter the Tilicho Base Camp. Camping is the only option as there are not many lodges out here. Overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.

Day 11Visit Tilicho Lake (4,949m) then trek back to base camp: 5-6 hours

After the initial tough ascent, our trail traverses onto a moraine and then cuts along the side of the mountain. We get to appreciate the natural beauty and splendid views of Tilicho, Nilgiri, Khangsar and Muktinath peaks. The reflections of peaks can been seen on turbulent water and onto ice as well depending on the environmental condition. Overnight in Tilicho Base Camp.

Day 12 Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4040m): 4-5 hours

The trail of the Marsyangdi valley lead us to alpine vegetation while returning from Tilicho Base Camp. Our trail continues through the remnants of old Khangsar village, until we cross a log bridge over the river between Gumsang and Yak Kharka. We arrive at typical Himalayan village of Yak Kharka where we herd of yaks can be seen grazing and pasturing. From here get to have sight over excellent views of Annapurna III. Overnight in Yak Kharka.

Day 13 Yak kharka to Thorang Phedi: (4420m): 3-4 hours

It is an uphill walk to Thorang Phedi. After walking for some time, we cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. We ascend further and pass through towering cliffs before reaching Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. On this trip we are rewarded with one of the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak and Mt. Khatungkan. The word Phedi in Nepalese is referred to as the foot of a mountain. Overnight in Thorang Phedi.

Day 14Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800mt) via Thorong La pass (5416m/17764ft): 7 - 8 hours

Crossing Thorong La pass, one of the highest passes in the world, will be our ultimate objective today. We will be crossing the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath) which is the easiest and safest direction. We get up around three in the morning and walk up the mountain. When we finally make it to the top, we realize that our journey was worth it. We can take a few photos before heading to Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La pass. Overnight in Muktinath.

Day 15Muktinath to Jomsom (2,715m) : 5-6 hours

In the morning, we visit the Muktinath Temple. People regard this region as a sacred place of liberation or salvation. There are water spouts channeled form the stream running above the temple. There is also a Buddhist Monastery nearby. We also enjoy the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri peak from Muktinath. Muktinath itself demonstrates the religions harmony in Nepal. From Muktinath, we continue to Jomsom leaving behind Kagbeni.. Overnight in Jomsom.

Day 16Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara : 30mins flight

We fly to Pokhara after breakfast. The flight itself is astonishing; the spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and over the deepest gorge in the world are close by to cheer us up. The warmer climate in Pokhara will definitely make us feel better. We could also visit the Davis falls and traverse by some caves and even boat; to see reflection of Fishtail Mountain at Phewa Lake. In the evening, we can ramble around the lakeside area and buy reminiscences for loved ones. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 17Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 30mins

Another short flight takes you back to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. We can take a rest in our hotel room and spend the rest of day in leisure. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by Merit Adventure to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 18Final Departure

Our representative will take us to Tribhuwan International Airport for our next flight, approximately 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time.
