Annapurna Short Trek is the most visited trekking trail in Nepal. The trek is one of contrasts between the green, terraced farmland on the start point to the semi-arid environment of the destination point. Annapurna region Trekking starts from Nayapul which is about 1 and half hour drive from Pokhara Valley. The beauty of the nature and the hospitality of the people living there make each day of your travel in this area a memorable one. Annapurna region trek passes through the forest of sakura trees and rhododendron in most. The blooming seasons makes the trek to feel as you are entering the Shangri-la.
This trek gives you the varied view of landscapes and the queue of Himalaya peaks spotting the famous ones as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, II, III and IV, Mt. Fishtail, Himalchuli, Gangapurna,etc. One can see the amazing natural facts like the deepest gorge in the world, Kali Gandaki Gorge along with the Shaligram (the fossil-stones) while going through this region. Most of the landscapes re dotted with the Tibetan prayer flags. It is also the gate way to the Lake Tilicho which is located at the highest elevation on Earth.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
After breakfast, drive along the zigzag route to Nayapul where we begin our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous riverside village at the convergence of the Modi and Bhurungdi Kholas (streams). We hike up to Sudame along the off road and then climb gradually up the side of the valley, Tikhedhunga. We pass through forest, settlement areas ,cross suspension bridge and steep ascent on stone staircases to the village of Ulleri – and an amazing landscape of valley floor where we came during the day with marvelous views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
After breakfast, our pleasant trekking begins as we follow trails through lush forest (rhododendron and oak) forests, quaint villages, cross suspension bridge to reach Ghorepani. Upper Ghorepani (Deurali) where we stay in this trip, offers amazing views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Himalayas.
We start our trek from Tadapani, on hiking for an hour we reach to Poon hill (3210m/10530ft), the route offers the glimpse of the pleasant rhododendron forest. This brilliant viewpoint provides us an spectacular sunrise over the high Himalayas and the wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya of Dolpo, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and wised range of Annapurna Himalayas including Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) and all the way to Manasalu.
We start our morning with a walk through the forested and downhill path most of the way with occasional view of the Mountain leads us through the gradual path most of the trail to Ghandrung village, After lunch trek down to the Syalui bazzar settled in river bank of Modi River. The walk is moderately flat most of the way following down stream of Modi River until Birethanthi and an easy trek to Nayapul. Our adventure ends here and we drive back to Pokhara.
